A square 42 by 42 inch pallet. Square pallets don't care which way they are turned on a truck or rack.
Because fewer shippers use it, a 42x42 load has a smaller pool of buyers than the same count of 48x40s.
Where they turn up
Paint, telecom and some chemical shippers.
